September 14, 2018

Tempe, AZ

Biosensing Instrument Inc (BI) announced today that the SPRm 200 Surface Plasmon Resonance Microscopy system has received the 2018 Best Practice Award – New Product Innovation from Frost & Sullivan.   The Best Practices award recognizes companies for demonstrating outstanding achievement and performance such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development.

SPRm 200 is the world’s first commercially available surface plasmon resonance microscopy (SPRM) system.   This novel system redefines the frontier of SPR – it is the only scientific solution on the market that enables label-free in vitro measurement of binding affinity and kinetics of cell membrane proteins of individual cells in their native environment.  SPRm 200 provides a spatial visualization of cellular structures simultaneously with local binding activities.

“We are thrilled and honored by this prestigious award,” said Dr. Tianwei Jing, President of BI. “The review and research process at Frost & Sullivan is extensive and in-depth as it can be, and this award is a testimony to our hard work and ultimate successes BI has had.  We thank our customers for believing in the SPR microscopy technology – it is exciting seeing that SPRm 200 is already contributing to drug discovery research make strides to fight diseases.”

Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents the Best Practice Awards to companies that have developed innovative products by leveraging leading-edge technologies.  Frost & Sullivan’s industry analyst team benchmarks market participants and measures their performance through independent, primary interviews, and secondary industry research in order to evaluate and identify best practices.  The award recognizes the value-added features/benefits of the product and the increased ROI it gives customers, which, in turn, raises customer acquisition and overall market penetration potential.
