We have an exciting opportunity to join our fast-growing company that leads the market with disruptive biophysical tools for the early drug discovery research. As a R&D Applications Scientist, you will be a key member of the R&D team to examine, evaluate, and test discoveries. You will collaborate with our field application scientists and academic/industrial customers to develop novel assays based our cell analysis tool.
Responsibilities:
- Develop assays for SPR microscopy
- Design experiments and data analysis approaches for SPR and cell binding analysis
- Address a broad range of scientific problems of various scope and complexity to develop novel assays
- Maintain knowledge of competitive technologies and products
- Generate white papers and application notes
- Provide technical support to customers evaluating the technology through instrument demos, technical presentations, customer training and troubleshooting
Minimum requirements:
- PhD in cell biology, molecular biology, biophysics, biochemistry or biotechnology
- Minimum of 4 years related laboratory experience
- Experience with cell sample preparations
- Good knowledge of the theory of protein binding kinetics
- Strong statistical analysis knowledge/skills
- Ability to execute, analyze and troubleshoot experiments with minimal guidance or supervision
- Independent self-starter with ability to multitask and deliver quality results in a timely manner
- Strong writing and presentation skills
- Must be authorized to work in the US
