Tempe, AZ

Biosensing Instrument Inc (BI) is one of seven bioscience Arizona companies selected to participate in the prestigious 2017 Flinn Foundation Bioscience Entrepreneurship Program.

The Flinn Foundation supports the advancement of the biosciences in Arizona through grantmaking and coordinating Arizona’s Bioscience Roadmap to guide the growth and development of the state’s bioscience sector through 2025.   “We are proud to have been recognized by the Flinn Foundation as a contributor to the advancement of bioscience technology in Arizona.   This program will help us promote our newest technology which helps researchers develop better drugs and vaccines.” said Dr. Tianwei Jing, President of BI.

BI’s latest technology, Surface Plasmon Resonance Microscopy (SPRM), combines optical microscopy and Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) technologies in one instrument. SPRm 200 (#sprm200) is the only scientific solution in the market that enables label-free in vitro measurement of binding reactions and kinetics of individual cells in their native environment and in real time. The instrument offers an easy-to-use solution for investigating drug candidates and cell targets without changing the native environment of the binding sites, thus obtaining more biologically relevant information about the drug candidate. By providing this powerful ability to study molecular interactions directly on the cell, researchers can now expedite drug and vaccine development.
